I have a forms library set up in SharePoint (MOSS 2007). When I try to add a new document, I get the following error:

InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form.
The form template is not valid.

The processing instruction in the file is missing or invalid. If you are working from a form library on a SharePoint site, you can modify the form template by clicking Modify Settings and Columns, and then clicking Edit Tempate on the Customize page.

Show Details > The processing instruction in the file is missing or invalid.

Any ideas what's going on here? I don't see the Customize page.

Did you publish a form to this library (in question)? You can directly publish the form from the InfoPath. you can access the customzie page by going to the library settings page. Go to Advanced settings and click the edit template link shown next to the template url. This should open the template in InfoPath. Make changes and save the template.

thanks. i got it figured out. apparently the Forms folder is hidden in sharepoint and can be viewed only in Explorer View. I noticed that we were missing one of the .xsn files from the old sharepoint 2003 environment after our migration. I simply copied the .xsn from the old env. to the new and everything appears to be working now.
