Workflow History Error

Hi Everyone,

We are using a built-in workflow. Recently, we solve a problem where it does not send emails to approvers. We just disable/enable the Immediate Alerts timer job and set creation of alerts by users to no limit.

After solving the problem, a new problem comes out where an Error event type in Workflow History occurs. This happens after approval of an item. Please refer below for the workflow history:

Date Occurred
Event Type
User ID
Description
Outcome
03/05/2009 10:33 PM Workflow Initiated
User
Notice Board Workflow was started. Participants: Notice Board Admins
03/05/2009 10:33 PM Task Created

Task created for Notice Board Admins. Due by: None
03/05/2009 10:35 PM Task Completed
User
Task assigned to Notice Board Admins was approved by System Account. Comments: Approved Approved by System Account
03/05/2009 10:35 PM Error

An error has occured in Notice Board Workflow.

Is there any way tocorrect theerror? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joel Ballesta

Hi Frank,

I already managed to solve the issue because of this thread:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointworkflow/thread/f582ad6b-f3f8-4451-85c1-95d88e953481/

You shouldun-check theUpdate the approval status (use this workflow to control content approval) option in Workflow settingsif the Content Approval of versioning settings is disabled.

Microsoft should check on this matter to make it easily to debug.

May I suggest detaching and re-attaching workflow?
